I'm a postdoctoral research scientist working with Liam Paninski in the Zuckerman Institute at Columbia University. My research focuses on using techniques from statistics and machine learning to analyze large neural datasets.
I completed my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics working in the Neurotheory Lab of Dan Butts at the University of Maryland, as well as a B.Sc. in Physics and a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma. When I'm not trying to understand how brains work I enjoy spending time outside, playing around with procedurally generated art, and remaining ignorant of good website design principles. Please have a look around the site!
